Trenary

Trenary is a small town in the Upper Peninsula with an interesting story.

On the last Saturday of February people come from around the country to push homemade outhouses through the main street in the town as fast as they can, competing for prize money and internet fame.

Several, two person teams try to navigate a course through the city. The only requirements is that the outhouse has a toilet seat, skis and toilet paper.

In true Michigan festival fashion, there is also the 4-F’s: Fun, Food, and Family Festivities.

Proceeds go to the town of Trenary.
