The Norsemen of Sutton’s Bay with 4 titles (and 2 runner up finishes) in the 2000s is pretty impressive.
Coach Todd Hursey has been at SB for over 25 years and Suttons Bay grad Thomas Hursey (not sure of the relationship) from Ferris State was just named GLIAC Player of the Year.
Suttons Bay is a great place to take a vacation, and we did that a few years ago.
If you do get the chance to go up there make a trip over to Leland (no sign for them) and take the trip to the Manitou Islands. Make sure you bring some mosquito repellant and the interior of SMI had more mosquitos than any other place I’ve seen in Michigan. Also climb up the lighthouse and take in the scenery.
