The Niles Vikings capped off an impressive 35-5 season with a 4-0 victory over Livonia Ladywood with senior pitcher Jenna Ignowski striking out the first nine batters she faced and finishing with 14 strikeouts.

According to her bio from Eastern Michigan University, Jenna was a three-time All-State and four-time All-Conference selection…Gatorade Michigan Softball Player of the Year in 2008, MHSSCA Miss Softball in 2009…Threw 18 perfect games in her career and holds more than 19 different records at Niles, such as victories (34), shutouts (31), no-hitters (12) and perfect games (7) in a single season.

Down the road is Niles Brandywine High School with a handful of state championships of their own:

2001 Girls Softball
1987 Boys Baseball
2024 Boys Basketball

But….no sign.

Surely the Brandywine accomplishments are more important than the Loud Stereo notice.

Niles is called the City of Four Flags because the area has flown the flags of France, Britain, Spain and the United States.
