Essexville

 

Essexville is located right on the Saginaw River, not far from Saginaw Bay – just outside of Bay City.

The central part of the state seems like it’s a hotbed for great Girls softball.

1991 was a very exciting season with the Major (ages 9-12) and Senior (ages 13-16) teams winning the state championships.

In 1997 Essexville-Garber went 40-3 and made it to the state finals before losing a heartbreaker to Stevensville Lakeshore 1-0.

The Dukes only managed 4 hits that day, with 3 of them coming off the bat of CF Phelps.
