I’ve known about the Cheeseburger Festival for a while, and while driving through the city I’ve often wondered why they don’t have a sign.

And then I drove through Caseville during the Cheeseburger Festival and saw a sign on just about every streetlight in the city!

All sorts of colors too – but yellow is my favorite so I went with this one.

The annual festival, which is meant to be the last hurrah of summer started in 1999. Inspired by the Jimmy Buffet song, the Cheeseburger festival is held every year in the middle of August.

It’s a pretty big deal. The streets through town just crawl along, there are people and vendors (selling cheeseburgers, of course) and concerts and the Parade of Tropical Fools, cardboard boat races, sandcastle contests and more.
