Pontiac Northern went back to back in the early 2000s and then closed, or more accurately, merged with Pontiac Central to form Pontiac High School in 2009.
Pontiac Central never won a state title but they did finish as the runner up 5 times!
Pontiac Central had some of the more noted basketball players with the Walker brothers, all three made it to the NBA.
Campy Russell was an All American at Michigan and played in an NBA All Star Game. Russell played a season for the Bulls and Walker was drafted and played for the Pistons and other teams.
