Lakeville High School is located in neighboring Otisville (but Otisville doesn’t have a sign…)
The track team was lead by Karri Kuzma, who was the State Championship in the Shot Put (Karri also won it the year before) and Laura Bell who won the 1600 (Laura won the 3200 the year before).
Columbiaville was first settled by Levi Cutting, a carpenter and cabinet maker. In 1848 he built the first home in Columbiaville, which is still standing at the south corner of Water and Lapeer Streets.
