Eastpointe

 

I’m a pretty curious person by nature, so I love learning about things. When I went to research Dr. Linenger I was fascinated.

He graduated from East Detroit High back when Eastpointe was East Detroit.

He then went to Annapolis and graduated from the Naval Academy. (Go Navy, Beat Army).

After the USNA he came back home and attended Medical School at Wayne State (my alma mater).

Then he got a couple more degrees and served as a physician.

Oh, and he became an astronaut and spent five months on the Soviet Space Station Mir when it was falling apart. (He wrote a book about it)

Dr. Linenger is retired now and speaks all over the country about his experiences.
