First of all to say this is a Home Of sign is a little bit of a reach. A banner maybe. A beat up banner, more accurately.

To survive an Upper Peninsula winter this must be some durable vinyl.

So this World’s Fair Load of Logs. Apparently it was a pretty big deal back in the day.

The logs were apparently the equivalent of 36,000 board feet of lumber.

The idea was to use these logs to make buildings for the Chicago World’s Fair.

The logs are virgin Michigan Pine and this load was estimated to weigh 144 tons.
