Akron Fairgrove High School did some serious running in the early 1990s.

The girls CC team won the title in 1991 and the same year they had 2 state champs in Track and Field.

Farah Petipren won the 1600 and the team of Miklovic, Krueger, Salgat and Petiprin won the 3200 relay.

The boys won the title in 1993 behind Steve Richardson who won state titles in the 100 and 200 (he won the 200 the year before as well).
