Bedford Township

First and foremost, this is the southernmost sign we have on the site. We found it on Secor Road, less than 1 block north of the Ohio border.

Secondly, Kicking Mules is one of the best mascot names we’ve come across – right up there with the Nimrods of Watersmeet.

Temperance Bedford had a dominating wrestling run for a long time. In addition to the 11 team state championships they finished as runner up another 7 times – including a 1 point loss to Rochester Adams in 1998.

The Kicking Mules (boy I like that nickname!) also have had 38 individual state champs since 1961.
