Ithaca

Ithaca has a pretty good football team.

They won 69 football games in a row – second only to Hudson’s 72 game win streak.

At the time it was also the nation’s longest winning streak.

During that time they won 4 consecutive state championships. They won another title after the streak and finished as runner up twice.

Longtime coach Terry Hessbrook recently retired. Hessbrook got the coach and got the Yellow Jackets on the map in spite of going 2-43 at his previous position – talk about making the best of a second chance!
