The Linden sign has a couple of state championships that aren’t MHSAA championships. The Eagles won MCCA Cheerleading State Championships in 1999 and 2000. I’m not sure what MCCA stands for, but apparently they were pretty good at it!
The sign is also missing Linden’s only MHSAA state championship. In 2008 the boys cross country team won the Division 2 championship with 59 points. That’s a really good score – and Linden finished second in 2012, 1972 and 1973.
The baseball team has made it to the Division 2 championship game twice. They lost to Dearborn Divine Child in 2004 and then made it back in 2016, losing to Holland Christian 8-5. In 2016 they actually had a 5-4 lead before Holland Christian scored four runs in the sixth.
