I’ve been to two rodeos in my life. The first was in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the second was in Blairsville, GA. They were both a lot more fun and exciting than I thought they would be.

If you want to see a PRCA rodeo in Michigan, this is your only shot.

The UP Championship Rodeo takes place in Iron City in late July.

There are parades, Miss UP Rodeo Contest, a Tractor show and a full slew of traditional rodeo events (bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling and women’s barrel racing)

All of that for about $15.
