Cass City joins Eastpointe as the Home Of an astronaut.
Brewster Shaw was an Air Force pilot. He logged over 500 hours in space.
He piloted or commanded three Space Shuttle Missions and was enshrined in the Astronaut Hall of Fame.
He retired as a Colonel and went to work at Boeing.
The girls track team was lead by the State Champion 800 Relay team of Cooper, Fluegge, Homakie and Sullins.
Cass City is also the home of Rolling Hills Golf Course where many years ago they let my 2 sons and a friend play for free to encourage youth golf. It was a beautiful course too.
