There was always something I loved about this sign. When I found out that Talbert Abrams was a Marine that explained a lot.
In World War I he became a pilot. After the war his unit started flying around and taking pictures and he was hooked.
After serving he started his own companies, taking aerial images as well as developing equipment and even planes designed especially for this type of photography. He also taught aerial photography to others in the military.
Mr. Abrams has a Mountain named after him – Abrams Mountain in the Antarctic!
The Abrams Planetarium at Michigan State is named after him as well
Some other kinda’ related stuff: Abrams Planetarium
