Most of the signs we find in smaller cities are on the outskirts of town. This one was right off of the Westbound I-96 exit, which was nice. I took the picture as I was filling up my car at the local Shell station. I liked the convenience, but missed out on driving through the city.
It’s a little unusual for a smaller city (3,883 people according to the 2010 Census) to have 2 schools and for both of the schools to have state champs!
Looking through each school’s schedules it doesn’t look like they play each other often, if at all. Portland is known as the City of Two Rivers. Maybe the two schools should play regularly and should have a 2 Rivers Trophy for the school that has the most victories.
