Allendale

First of all let’s address the sign.  It’s right on the edge of a cornfield on a road that doesn’t seem to get a lot of traffic. My friend Stacie tried to move the branches that are covering up the words “Grand Valley” but it was too treacherous to get to them. Even if she could get close it’s like there is a pine tree in the way.

So whoever manages the sign, please send someone to make it completely visible.

As for Grand Valley it seems to be a growing school. I know a lot of kids that have attended including 2 of my nephews. During the honors night celebrations for my children it seemed like 40% the graduating class at Eisenhower High School were planning on attending Grand Valley (another 40% were going to Michigan State).

Grand Valley  is a hop, skip and jump away from Downtown Grand Rapids. We’ve seen, over the years, that a lot of the kids that move to the west side of the state to go to school here end up staying there and being near Grand Rapids plays a big part of their decision.
