The 2021 Taylor North Little League team accomplished something that no Michigan team had done since 1959 – won the LLWS! (Hamtramk won the other one)
They beat Ohio in the championship game. “Wait, Ohio?” you may be thinking. Yeah, in 2021 Covid concerns prevented the international teams from competing. But the boys from Taylor beat everyone they faced and came home with the trophy. (Actually they lost a game to Hawaii, but bet them in the rematch)
Cameron Thorning lead the team at the plate (batting .467 and on the mound with a 0.00 ERA).
