Three championships in a row for the New Haven Rockets!
Looking up the MHSAA records shows that John Mack won the 400M an incredible 4 years in a row!
He also won 9 other titles in the 200 (3 times) 1600 Relay (3 times) and 800 Relay (3 times).
John went to Princeton and set a few more records there on his way to being a multiple All-American.
He was elected into the New Haven Hall of Fame in 2006.
Another member of the HOF that I competed against was a young man named Brian Corbitt. Brian was a great Long Jumper (and all around great athlete).
One year in the Macomb County Track Championship Meet I finished 3rd in the long jump nearly 2 1/2 feet behind Brian.
