The Freeland sign isn’t my favorite. (no offense to the city and residents of the city).
What I mean is that I like when the name of the city is bigger than the Home Of portion.
But I do like how they have the individual achievements listed on their own sign.
When I was researching Freeland and their Pompon teams are not part of the MHSAA.
A quick look on Pompon.com shows that they not only won in 84, 04 and 08 – but they went back-to-back and won it all in 2009 as well.
The problem with their sign is that there’s no more room to put the 09 with the rest of them.
I think each championship should have their own sign.
If I ever run for governor that will be a big part of my platform.
