Almont

The Almont Raiders have had some good seasons in football (State Runners Up in 2023 and 2019).

They also boast a state wrestling champ in Grant Turnmire, who won the 2014 MHSAA Division 3 title for 130 pounds.

I also like this sign because my wife worked at an A&W while she was in high school. And I still love their root beer.

Not shown on the sign, but one of my favorite places in Almont is the Country Smokehouse. I used to regularly send packages of their beef jerky to my daughter when she was going to college in Phoenix.
