Midland

As we headed east toward Midland on M20 one day, traffic was pretty heavy. We saw the sign in the distance and then got excited when it was a Home Of sign.

But then I saw it and panicked a little and told my wife that we already had this one and not to bother to hold up traffic while some dork took a picture of a sign.

And then I realized that I was thinking of Midland Township.

(In my defense they’re pretty similar.)

So in order to get the picture I called our old family friend Michael Allen who attends Northwood and competes on their track team. (I once raced Michael in a 400M race while on vacation in the UP – I lost.)

Michael and his roommates went and tracked down the picture and I Venmo’d them a few bucks to get some lunch to thank them for the sign. A win-win.
