Comins

Comins is one of the many, many small towns that doesn’t seem to have any actual structures other than a Post Office. My wife said we should be taking pictures and calling it Post Offices of Michigan or something like that. Maybe that will be our follow up project.

So the Kirtland Warbler, also known as the jack pine bird or jack pine warbler is pretty common in NE MI and likes to summer in the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

There are some, including my own brother in law Scott (who sent in a few pictures from the the U.P.) that think it should be the Michigan State bird instead of the Robin.

We’ve had many heated discussions about it that usually ended in fisticuffs! (not really, neither of us care too much one way or the other)
