Montague

Located on the other side of White Lake from Whitehall, Montague, we found, is a great place to visit for a holiday weekend.  We drove by the sign a few times before spotting it.

The football team won back-to-back titles in 2008 and 2009. (They also won in 2020 and were runners-up in 2018 and 1992).

Before Nancy Fleming was Miss America, she was Miss White Lake, and then Miss Michigan. Her talent was sewing – the only person to win either pageant with that talent.

Nancy moved to, and still lives in California where she married Jim Lange, the host of “The Dating Game.” In this tribute video, Miss America honored her for 50 years of service in this tribute video.
